栗子是[腎之果]

栗子有 [腎之果] 之稱﹐ 有養胃健脾﹑補腎壯腰﹑ 強筋活血等功效。 它含有不飽和脂肪酸和多種維生素﹐能防治腰膝無力﹑酸痛﹐筋骨腫痛﹐小便過多 和脾胃虛寒引起的腹瀉等。 對一般老化病很有益處﹐特別適合中老年人食用。但請 注意﹕ 栗子雖然有益﹐ 一次不宜吃太多﹐食時要細嚼慢嚥。 








[淮山栗子牛筋湯] 
功能:       補腎壯腰﹐強筋健骨﹐對中老年人腰膝酸痛﹐ 腰腿無力﹐腹瀉﹐ 小便過多者很有 幫助。
用料:       淮山 1 兩, 栗子 6 兩, 紅棗 6 粒, 新鮮牛筋 1 條, 生薑 2 片
做法:       牛筋洗淨, 切段, 出水; 栗子投入沸水中, 迅即撈起去衣; (要盡快撈起﹐用毛巾將衣擦去﹐ 時間長了﹐ 衣就很難剝走)。 淮山﹑紅棗浸洗﹔ 將全部材料放入煲內﹐ 用 10 碗水煮約 3 小時成 4~5 碗即成。 飲湯吃湯料.

[栗子鳳爪湯] 

功能:       健脾胃﹑強筋骨﹑止夜尿。對骨質疏鬆患者都有幫助。
用料:       鮮栗子肉半斤, 雞腳 5 對, 生薑 2 片, 紅棗或蜜棗 4 粒
做法:       鮮栗子用熱水泡一泡, 去衣; (要盡快撈起去衣)。 雞腳出水﹔ 將全部材料放入瓦煲內﹐ 加水煮約 2 小時即可連湯料同食.

Chestnut is well-known for healthy kidneys. It contains unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins to cure knee pain, sore muscles, excessive urination, and diarrhea caused by spleen deficiency. It is effective in strengthening the kidneys, stomach, and spleen and blood flow, among others. It is good for people with chronic disease in general. Though it is beneficial to health, please note that chestnuts should be limited to a small amount per serving each time. They must be chewed thoroughly and eaten slowly.

[Tendon soup with chestnuts and Chinese yam (淮山) ]
Effects: maintain health for the kidney, waist, gluten, back bone in the elderly; relief knee pain, lumbar and leg weakness, diarrhea, and excessive urination.
Ingredients: Chinese yam 1 tael, chestnuts 6 taels, jujube 6 pieces, fresh beef tendon 1 piece, ginger 2 slices
Procedure: 
(1) Wash tendon, cut into pieces, boil them in water for 1 minute or 2, remove water and save tenden for later use
(2) add chestnuts into boiling water, quickly picked them up for peeling; (to be picked up as soon as possible, wipe with a towel, if boiled for a longer time, they would be hard to peel).
(3) Place tendon, chestnuts, Chinese yam, red dates into the pot with 10 bowls of water; cook for about 3 hours into the 4 to 5 bowls of soup.

[Chicken digits soup with Chestnuts] 
Effects: maintain health for the stomach and spleen, strenghten tendons and bones, relief midnight urination problem. Helpful to osteoporosis.
Ingredients: Fresh chestnut meat half a catty, chicken feet 5 pairs, ginger 2 slices, red or black dates 4 piece
Procedure: 
(1) Add chestnuts into boiling water, quickly picked them up for peeling; (to be picked up as soon as possible, wipe with a towel, if boiled for a longer time, it would be hard to peel).
(2) Wash chicken digits, boil them in water for 1 minute or 2, remove water and save for later use
(3) Place all ingredients into the pot with water; cook for about 2 hours to make soup.
